Blidworth Welfare Football Club

Various Clubs in Newark and Sherwood

A number of different clubs within the Newark and Sherwood district are looking for volunteers. Roles include:

  • Assisting with the coaching of sessions
  • Umpiring/officiating at training sessions and on match days. (a relevant impiring/officiating qualification may be required)
  • Fundraising Assistant

Volunteers will be encouraged to sign up to the VISPA volunteer scheme (Volunteering in Sport and Physical Activity) and placements will be found to match the skills and interests of volunteers.

Blidworth Welfare Football Club

Blidworth Welfare Football Club of the Supreme Division in the Central Midlands League require volunteers to help run the Club (tea bar, gate stewards, cleanliness of the ground and changing rooms) and we also have specific requirements as follows:

Press Officer: Involves producing match reports, taking photos, liaising with the Press, and doing promotional events for the club.

Fund Raising Secretary: Involves raising money for the club through sponsorship or organising fund raising events.

General Secretary: Liaison with the Central Midlands League. Arranging fixtures. Organising Meetings. Taking minutes. Registering and transferring players.

Football Coaches: We have Junior and Senior Sides and are always interested in talking to qualified coaches to see if we have an appropriate role for them.

Programme Editor: Involves producing a match day programme for all of Blidworth Welfare's home games.
