How can a volunteer centre help you as a volunteer or sports club?

Volunteer centres (sometimes known as volunteer bureaux) can support you at a local level as an individual volunteer or sports organisation.

Their core functions that could help you are:

  • Brokerage – Match individual volunteers to suitable roles in the community
  • Marketing volunteering– Raise awareness of volunteering locally.
  • Good practice development – Offer training to all volunteers
  • Developing volunteering opportunities - Volunteer centres work in close partnership with a wide variety of organisations to create placement opportunities. Volunteer centres target specific groups which face barriers to volunteering.

Contact your local volunteer centre for more information on how they can support you as a club or volunteer.
