Main Purpose of the Role:
|
Ensure all persons working with children and young people at the club are fully aware of what is required of them within the protocols of the policy and good practice |
|
Duties:
|
- To maintain, administer and manage the completion of the CRB check forms
- To keep up to date on child protection policies and procedures, receive all child protection information and ensure any recommendations made are integrated into club policy
- To attend at least one child protection workshop per year
- Conduct the administrative work associated with processing information on new coaches/ organisers
- Liaise closely with club youth coaches, ensuring that agreed procedures for the prevention of risk are followed
- To be point of contact for any complaints regarding welfare issues
- Ensure that all child protection issues or concerns are reported to the relevant agencies immediately
- To raise awareness of good child protection practice amongst all club officials, coaches, teachers, committee members, members and parents.

Essential Qualifications/ Skills/ Knowledge required:

- Excellent communication skills
- Willing to go on courses and keep up to date on information
- Ability to handle sensitive information
