Main Purpose of the Role:
|
To lead on the recruitment, retention, recognition, support and training of club volunteers, young leaders and individuals on placements. |
|
Duties:
|
- Act as main contact for all volunteers
- Act as a contact point in publicity information for potential new volunteers
- Co ordinate and implement the clubs volunteer recruitment plan
- Publicise volunteering opportunities with external organisations
- Link with local schools to offer placement opportunities
- Organise social and recruitment events for volunteers
- To provide support and guidance to all volunteers where appropriate
- Ensure that all volunteer roles have a role description as agreed by the committee
- Liaise with the Chairperson to ensure that all tasks required to run the club efficiently are carried out
- To induct new volunteers to the club
- Keep volunteers pack up to date with latest information
- Issue volunteer packs to all volunteers
- Liase with Welfare Officer regarding Criminal Records Bureau checks as agreed by the club committee
- Carry out training needs analysis for all club volunteers
- Ensure volunteers receive appropriate information relevant to their training requirements
- To ensure that all volunteer are recognised for the work that they do
