Role Title: Volunteer Co-ordinator
Responsible to: Club committee
Main Purpose of the Role: To lead on the recruitment, retention, recognition, support and training of club volunteers, young leaders and individuals on placements.
Duties:
  • Act as main contact for all volunteers
  • Act as a contact point in publicity information for potential new volunteers
  • Co ordinate and implement the clubs volunteer recruitment plan
  • Publicise volunteering opportunities with external organisations
  • Link with local schools to offer placement opportunities
  • Organise social and recruitment events for volunteers
  • To provide support and guidance to all volunteers where appropriate
  • Ensure that all volunteer roles have a role description as agreed by the committee
  • Liaise with the Chairperson to ensure that all tasks required to run the club efficiently are carried out
  • To induct new volunteers to the club
  • Keep volunteers pack up to date with latest information
  • Issue volunteer packs to all volunteers
  • Liase with Welfare Officer regarding Criminal Records Bureau checks as agreed by the club committee
  • Carry out training needs analysis for all club volunteers
  • Ensure volunteers receive appropriate information relevant to their training requirements
  • To ensure that all volunteer are recognised for the work that they do
