Bassetlaw take first medals at Youth Games
On Tuesday 15 May, Bassetlaw became the first district to win gold at the East Midlands Airport Nottinghamshire Youth Games as they won the Sportshall Athletics competition held at Harvey Hadden Sports Centre in the City.

They shared the Speed Bounce and 8 Lap Paarlauf events with close rivals Nottingham City who have dominated the event in previous Youth Games competitions. |

The competition involved around 100 athletes aged 11 to 13 competing across a range of athletics disciplines – all of which took place in the sports hall. Each competitor took part in: one individual sprint middle-distance race or an eight lap Paarlauf (a race where each athlete runs a chosen number of laps). There were two relay races and two field events in which each competitor took part. |
