Youth Games
About the Youth Games
The East Midlands Airport Nottinghamshire Youth Games is a partnership event organised by
- Nottinghamshire County Council
- Nottingham City Council
- District councils of Nottinghamshire
- Governing bodies of sport
- Sport England
The games have been run annually since 1999 and have seen over 50,000 participants take part.
The two days of competition are the culmination of months of hard work by district sports development officers who run trials, competitions and training sessions with local schools and sports clubs to select the district squads.
The main emphasis of the whole event is firmly placed on:
- fair play
- being involved in sport
- staying involved in sport.
