By further developing existing activities and creating new high quality opportunities for “More People to become More Active, More Often”, the Sports Development team aim to improve the health and well-being of people living in Bassetlaw.

By offering opportunities for as wide a cross section of the residents as possible, we hope to create a real sense of pride in Bassetlaw and to promote the achievements made by people from the District to County and Regional level gaining recognition for the people of Bassetlaw.

Bassetlaw District Council’s Sports Development Team work in partnership with various agencies to promote the participation in Sport & Physical Activity.

The promotion of lifelong learning in support of the strategic aims of Bassetlaw District Council & the Local Strategic Partnership is a priority. The Service aims to increase the number of people who are regularly involved in sport, recreation and physical activity whether as a Participant, Administrator, Volunteer, Coach, or Manager.
