Fencing in the East Midlands
England Fencing (EF) governs fencing in England. Voluntary honorary officers maintain EF’s central functions and services (eg competitions, coach certification). There is a part-time paid administrator who provides office services. EF is divided into regions which are also run by volunteers.
The East Midlands region (EMR) is active in providing
- competitions for all ages and weapons
- coach education
- cadet, junior and senior fencer development
- support to clubs
- referee training
- armouring workshops
- seminars and training sessions of interest to fencers, coaches and club organisers.
Each region is divided into County Fencing Unions, Leicestershire and Rutland, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Notts and Derbys.
They have their own calendar of events in addition to regional events.
